Landscape People
Site-specific performance and composer's cycle and based on the Ukrainian, Roumean Greeks of Azov and Qırımlı (Crimean) traditions. The sounds of the landscape are woven into the musical structure alongside vocals, electroacoustic elements and the instruments of Ensemble 24.

More than six million Ukrainians have left the country since the invasion began. Some have stayed, others have moved to other countries, and still others have returned, for reasons that are far from straightforward. Guilt, a sense of belonging, and the desire to be where life continues despite everything makes return less a matter of geography than an ongoing process, repeated day after day, even from a distance.
